Employment hits record high

New jobs figures today show that employment is at a record high – with more people in work than ever before –and unemployment is at its lowest since 1974.

100 Club Winner for February

The 100 Club monthly draw took place at a Coffee Morning held in Rowde on 15th February.  CONGRATULATIONS to Mr Norman Phillips whose number was picked out as the lucky winner for the month of February.

Braeside poised for a bright future as keys are handed over to new owners

A popular outdoor education venue will continue to welcome young people for fun and challenges as new owners have now taken over the site.

Conservative led Wiltshire Council has handed over the keys to the site to Classes Abroad, an outdoor education specialist based in Wiltshire.  

Youth Parliament Elections

Young people are being encouraged to have their say in the Youth Parliament Elections.

The Youth Parliament provides opportunities for 11 to 18 year olds to use their elected voice to bring about social change through meaningful representation and campaigning.

Parish stewards change focus to potholes

Wiltshire's army of parish stewards are focusing their energies on repairing potholes to combat the wet weather damage on Wiltshire's roads this month.

The 20 stewards work in local communities to carry out repairs and maintenance, based on the needs of the communities they serve.

Employers are being invited to find out more about apprenticeships at a free business breakfast in February.

The event at Melksham Town Hall on 6 February is being held during National Apprenticeship Week from 3 9 February.
